Flash flood warning issued for Kaua'i

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Kaua'i until 8:30 p.m.

At 5:30 p.m., radar showed heavy showers over the south shore of Kaua'i moving northeast at 15 mph, the weather service said.

The heavy showers will spread across the island over the next several hours. More showers are also moving toward Kaua'i from the southwest.

Lcations in the warning include but are not limited to Ha'ena, Wainiha, Kilauea, Hanalei, Princeville, Na Pali State Park, Moloa'a, Anahola, Kapa'a, Wailua, Lihu'e, Koloa, Po'ipu, Hanapepe,Waimea and Kekaha.

This flash flood warning may need to be extended beyond 8:30 p.m. if flash flooding conditions persist.
