Tornado warning for Lana'i

The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for Lana'i until 10 p.m. tonight.A Lana'i fire department official said at 9:48 p.m. that it had not received any report of a tornado materializing.
The weather service said radar at 9:28 p.m. indicated a severe thunderstorm eight miles southwest of Lana'i City capable of producing a tornado. If one materialized, it was expected to be near Lana'i City by 9:40 p.m.
