A LITTLE BIT COUNTRY

The next First Friday gallery walk is April 7. That means the next Live from the Lawn concert at the Hawai'i State Art Museum also is April 7, from 5 to 9 p.m. The theme will be Hawaiian Country, and the featured acts are The Squirrel Hunters at 6 p.m., The Girlas at 7 p.m. and The Full Steppers at 8 p.m. Admission is free.

ISLE STYLE AT RRED ELEPHANT

"Mele No Ka Oi" is the title of a concert of slack-key guitar, steel guitar, 'ukulele jazz and Hawaiian vocals, 7 p.m. April 7 at rRed Elephant on Bethel Street. The slate of performers includes Brittni Paiva, Owana Salazar, Jeff Peterson, Nathan Aweau, Bruddah Smitty and Brickwood Galuteria. Admission is $30. www.honoluluboxoffice.com, 550-8457.

HALAU CELEBRATES 30 YEARS

Halau Mohala 'Ilima's 26th annual Holomua Ka No'eau concert also celebrates the 30th anniversary of the troupe led by kumu hula Mapuana de Silva. The fundraising concert will offer a preview of the halau's Merrie Monarch numbers; pre-concert music by Keawe Lopes and 'ohana; and Na Palapalai and Wai Kamaha'o.
