More rain in store for O'ahu, Neighbor Islands
Advertiser Staff
The weather will be cloudy with heavy rain at times and the possibility of severe thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service Honolulu."We have an upper low-pressure area northwest of the islands and it's bringing up tropical moisture," said Bob Farrell, lead forecaster. "Thunderstorms are moving up from the southwest along with the heavy rain."
Thunderstorms can produce hail, strong winds, water spouts and tornadoes, Farrell said.
"You might see temporary improvement before the weekend," he said. "In the long run we're looking for some improvement by the weekend."
