Fire guts upper story of home

Firefighters responded to a house fire at 1525 Amelia Street today that guttered the upper story of a two-story home. One woman was treated for respiratory complaints, said HFD Capt. Kenison Tejada.The fire was called in at 1:01 p.m. and about 35 firefighters responded. The fire was under control by 1:16 p.m. There was no damage estimate.
The fire was difficult to extinguish, Tejada said, because it was in the ceiling of the building.
Firefighters were still on the scene at 3 p.m.
