Police Beat: Woman arrested after knife threat

Police arrested a 47-year-old Kane'ohe woman last night after she allegedly threatened to harm a 27-year-old friend in Mo'ili'ili.

Police said the two women got into an argument after the older woman discovered her cell phone was missing. Police said the argument escalated when the older woman pulled a knife and threatened the other woman.

Patrol officers arrested the older woman on suspicion of terroristic threatening.

Woman attacked man, police say

Police arrested a 36-year-old Ma'ili woman last night after she allegedly hit a 34-year-old man in the head with a glass bottle.

Police said the couple had been arguing at about 9 p.m. when the man was struck.

The woman was arrested a short time later on suspicion of assault and abuse of a household member.

Bar argument leads to shotgun threat

A 37-year-old man was arrested yesterday in connection with an incident Friday night at a Kailua bar.

A 30 year-old man told police he got into an argument about 2:40 a.m. with the older man who left the bar, came back with a shotgun, pointed it at him and threatened to shoot.

The suspect eventually drove off, but the younger man spotted him yesterday and called police. The man who filed the complaint identified the older man as the one who threatened him. He was then arrested on suspicion of terroristic threatening.

Woman says man sexually assaulted her

Police opened a first-degree sexual assault investigation yesterday after a 21-year-old Waikiki woman told them a 45-year-old man, whom she described as an acquaintance, sexually assaulted her in his van multiple times between April 15 and Saturday.

Police are investigating eight alleged counts of first-degree sexual abuse.

Collision leads to assault arrest

A 33-year-old Kapolei man was arrested yesterday as a suspect in a March 14 attack on a 64-year-old man from the Mainland.

Police said the two men were involved in a traffic collision in Punalu'u when the younger man allegedly got out of his car, walked up to the car being driven by the older man and punched him in the face while he was sitting in his car.

The suspect was identified yesterday via a photographic lineup and turned himself in at the main police station where he was arrested.

Niece says uncle assaulted her

A man in his 30s is to be questioned by police today after his 16-year-old niece filed a report saying the man assaulted her about 7 p.m. Saturday at his Honolulu apartment.

The girl returned home, reported the attack to her parents and was taken to the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.

Police said that if the complaint is verified the uncle could face first-degree sexual assault and kidnapping charges.

Arrest made in assault of 12-year-old girl

A 68-year-old Kane'ohe man was arrested Saturday after a 12-year-old girl told police the man abducted her from an outdoor walkway near his apartment building and offered to pay her money in exchange for sex.

The girl told police she refused the man's offer but that he dragged her into an elevator at the Kahuhipa Street apartment complex and fondled her before she was able to escape.

Police arrested the man on suspicion of kidnapping and third-degree sexual assault.
