  • Local businessman and community leader Stuart T.K. Ho, has been named to a two-year term on the five-member AARP Hawai'i Executive Council. Ho is president and chief executive officer of Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific and director of Nuuanu Memorial Park Inc. He is a former director of Aloha Airlines, Bank of Hawaii, Gannett Co. Inc., Pacific Resources Inc., College Retirement Equities Fund, and TIAA-CREF Mutual Funds. AARP is a nonprofit advocacy organization for people over 50 years old.

  • DENNIS J. GAUGHAN has been named president and resident managing director of Aon Risk Services Inc. of Hawai'i, responsible for all property and casualty brokerage services and risk management consulting for large, multinational and middle-market companies in Hawai'i. Guaghan is a former law partner with Cades Schutte in Honolulu and a former member of the Central Intelligence Agency.

  • LANCE K. WILHELM has been named senior vice president and Hawai'i area manager for Kiewit Building Group. Wilhelm was most recently project sponsor in the firm's Honolulu office, overseeing business development and project proposals, and has served as job superintendent on various projects, and area business manager.

  • JOSE VILLA has been named deputy director of the Honolulu Community Action Program. He was previously director of planning, development and communications. Incorporated in 1968 as a private, nonprofit agency, the program is committed to alleviating poverty on O'ahu by enabling low-income families and communities to achieve self-reliance.

  • MARILYN ISRAEL has been promoted to executive director of the Kahala Nui senior living community. She will be responsible for day-to-day management and operations of Kahala Nui, and the state-of-the-art Hi'olani Care Center.

  • NICHOLAS BUCHANAN has been named vice president of Intracorp Companies' newly opened Hawai'i office. Intracorp is the developer of the new luxury condominium, The Watermark Waikiki, on the lower Ala Wai.

  • TERRY DONNELLY, president of Blue Dolphin Charters, and PRESTON MYERS, owner of Safari Helicopters, have been named Kaua'i representatives for the Activities and Attractions Association of Hawai'i.

  • YVETTE S. MUTA has joined Pacific Asia Design Group Inc., an architecture and interior design firm.
