Traffic heavy but moving smoothly

Advertiser staff

There are no major traffic tie-ups to report at this hour.

Traffic is heavy but moving on all of the major arteries leading to downtown Honolulu.

A back-up caused by an earlier fender bender between two trucks in the town-bound lanes of the H-1 Freeway near the Waiawa overpass and a stalled vehicle in the shoulder lane near the Waimalu exit have made the going a bit slower than usual. But things clear up a bit in 'Aiea.

Traffic was hampered earlier this morning along the Wai'anae Coast by a collision on Farrington Highway in front of the Maili 7-Eleven followed a few minutes later, and a few miles down the road, by a second collision in front of the Mahalo Express store in Nanakuli.

ALERT: A city ambulance was dispatched about 7:10 a.m. to the scene of a motor vehicle collision on Kalaniana'ole Highway fronting the Shriner's recreational facility in Waimanalo.

ALERT: An ambulance was dispatched at about 6:50 a.m. to a traffic collision at the corner of Kamehameha Highway and Pali Momi Street in Aiea.
