Iolani turns back Saint Louis, 7-5, in opener of ILH baseball tournament

Brett Hasegawa and Chris Johnson each had two hits and two RBIs as Iolani defeated Saint Louis, 7-5, yesterday in the opener of the Interscholastic League of Honolulu double-elimination baseball tournament.

Jason Fukumoto had two hits and two RBIs for the Crusaders.

JAYVEE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Colby Agres batted 4 for 4, including two triples, and winning pitcher Bryan Raines went 2 for 4, including one triple, as Castle defeated Pearl City, 12-5, Saturday in the O'ahu Interscholastic Association junior varsity baseball championship game. Kris Kahanu and Blaine Muraoka each added two hits for the Knights.

Kamehameha defeated Punahou, 4-3, last week to win the Interscholastic League of Honolulu junior varsity baseball championship.
