La Pietra, St. Francis still share lead

Megan Berardy scored 17 points as La Pietra defeated Word of Life, 52-48, last night in an Interscholastic League of Ho-nolulu Division II regular-season final.

Courtney Gaddis and Megan Giles each added 10 points for the Lady Panthers, who improved to 11-1 and maintained their share of the lead with St. Francis, which beat Hawai'i Baptist last night.

Punahou (10-1) closes its regular season tonight at Iolani. A playoff — involving La Pietra, St. Francis, and possibly Punahou — will determine the ILH DII regular-season champion.

Careena Onosai led Word of Life with 19 points.
