Police Beat: Teen arrested after alleged death threats

Police arrested a 16-year-old boy yesterday morning after he allegedly threatened to kill administrators and a student at Kaimuki High School.

Police found the boy about two miles from the school following 9:15 a.m. call for assistance.

He was arrested on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening but was released without charges pending further investigation.



Man arrested for 'inappropriate sexual conduct' with girl, 8

Police arrested 56-year-old man at a downtown playground last night on suspicion of third-degree sexual assault after he allegedly engaged in "inappropriate sexual conduct" with an 8-year-old girl.

Police said the girl had been playing with other children about 7:10 p.m. at a playground off A'ala Street.



Boy, 16, says younger male sexually assaulted him

Police are investigating a complaint filed yesterday by a 16-year-old boy who said he was sexually assaulted Sunday and again on Monday by his 15-year-old roommate.

The boy told investigators the assaults took place in a home in the Nu'uanu Pali area.



Man arrested after argument escalates into knife threat

A 47-year-old man was arrested at his Maluna Street home yesterday on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening.

Police were told that the man got into an argument with a 43-year-old coworker at their Sand Island workplace during which the older man pulled a knife and threatened the younger man.

Patrol officers located the suspect and arrested him without incident.



Man caught driving stolen car is arrested

A 29-year-old man was arrested in the former Barbers Point area after police spotted him driving a car that had been reported stolen.

Police issued an all-points bulletin for the stolen car just before 11 a.m. and the man was seen driving the car with a woman passenger a few minutes later.

After a short car chase, the man and the woman abandoned the car and ran away but were caught a few minutes later.

The man driving the car was arrested on suspicion of unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle.



Man caught stealing from Wai'anae clinic

A 27-year-old man was arrested early yesterday morning after a security guard reported finding the man removing a glass louver from a Wai'anae area clinic about 3:45 a.m.

Police were called and arrested the man on suspicion of attempted second-degree burglary.
