New road near Pohakupu subdivision close to reality

The state Legislature has approved a state budget that includes $5,175,000 for the new road that will come off Kalaniana'ole Highway near the Women Community Correctional Center, bypassing the Pohakupu subdivision where the school is located.Gov. Linda Lingle must still sign the budget bill, HB1900, and release the funds before work can begin.
