Surf going down on south-facing shores

Advertiser Staff

Surf is on the way down along O'ahu's south-facing shores, on the way up along the North Shore and about where it was yesterday for east- and west-facing shores, according to the National Weather Service.

Wave faces today are expected to reach three to five feet along north- and south-facing shores and two to four feet along east- and west-facing shores.

The longer term forecast calls for a new northwest swell to arrive by Sunday night, peak Monday below advisory levels, then slowly lower through Wednesday. The current south swell will slowly lower through Monday.
