Merkle wins Jennie K. title

Moanalua freshman Kristina Merkle won the Jennie K. Invitational on Sunday by five shots over 12-year-old Kyung Kim.Merkle, 14, shot a final-round 73 to finish at 5-over-par 221 at Mid-Pacific Country Club.
Kim, the second-round leader, closed with a 79. Bobbi Kokx (76) and Desiree Ting (79) shared third at 231.
