North Shore sees late-season swell

Advertiser Staff

The best bet to find good surf today is along Oahu's North Shore.

A late-season swell out of the northwest brought waves with faces in the six- to nine-foot range overnight, and will diminish throughout the day, but still provide wave faces of five to seven feet well into this afternoon, according to forecasts.

Elsewhere, the surf will be two to four feet along south-facing shores, three to five feet along east-facing shores and three to five feet along west-facing shores.

A new northwest swell is expected to arrive late Wednesday and peak Thursday while a small south swell should arrive Friday.
