Bank robbery suspect arrested on traffic violation

Police arrested a suspected bank robber Friday after the man was pulled over for a traffic violation, police said.Darryl Griffin, 23, allegedly robbed the Mililani branch of Hawaii USA Federal Credit Union on April 29 at about 1:55 p.m. On Friday, Griffin was identified through a tip and arrested on a traffic warrant at 9 a.m.
During the traffic investigation, police learned that Griffin was responsible for the bank robbery, police said.
