Hotel occupancy falls in March, but revenue rises

Statewide hotel occupancy slipped in March from the same month a year earlier, but room rates and revenue continued to improve, according to hotel consultancy Hospitality Advisors LLC.Statewide occupancy fell 2.5 percentage points to 82.4 percent in March. Average daily room rates grew 9.3 percent to $185.80, while revenue per available room grew 6.1 percent to $153.08.
