Disaster recovery centers open on O'ahu, Kaua'i

Two Disaster Recovery Assistance Centers will open at noon today on O'ahu and Kaua'i.

The centers will provide information and help to residents and businesses affected by heavy rains and flooding between Feb. 20 and April 2.

Before going to the DRC, people are asked to apply by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362). For people who are speech or hearing impaired, the TTY number is 1-800-462-7585. Lines are open from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week. People may also apply at www.fema.gov/assistance.

The O'ahu center is located at Kualoa Ranch, 49-560 Kamehameha Highway, Ka'a'awa.

On Kaua'i, the center is located at the Kaua'i War Memorial Convention Hall, 4191 Hardy Street, Lihue.

Both centers will be open noon to 8 p.m. through Friday.
