Legal Aid Society names executive director

Advertiser Staff

Chuck Greenfield, executive director for the Legal Services of Northern Virginia, has been named executive director of the Legal Aid Society of Hawai'i.

Greenfield was chosen after a four-month search to replace Victor Geminiani, who left the position in December 2005, according to the Legal Aid Society of Hawai'i.

Greenfield served as executive director for Legal Services of Northern Virginia for seven years. He also worked for nine years as directing attorney and litigation director for the Micronesian Legal Services Corporation.

David Reber, Legal Aid Board president, said Greenfield has spent more than 30 years improving the lives of the poor.

"His wide range of experience in addressing challenges similar to those facing the Legal Aid Society of Hawai'i, and his success in working with other legal aid providers, social service agencies, community groups, the bar and clients will be invaluable in moving Legal Aid forward in addressing the needs of the poor," Reber said.
