UH pole vaulter WAC athlete of week

University of Hawai'i pole vaulter Patricia Gauthier today was named the Western Athletic Conference track and field athlete of the week for her record-breaking effort last week.Gauthier's 12-foot, 11.75-inch mark set a UH record and is the best performance in the WAC this season, the WAC said in making the announcement.
The WAC Outdoor Championships will begin tomorrow at Cooke Field.
