Striping project will slow traffic on Fort Weaver Road

Several construction projects may slow your morning and afternoon commutes today.

If you're traveling any of the roads mentioned below, you may want to leave a few minutes earlier to deal with slow traffic.

Fort Weaver Road

  • Lanes may be closed along Fort Weaver Road in the vicinity of Geiger Road through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for pavement striping.

    Aiea Access Road

  • The right south-bound lane along Aiea Access Road, from Moanalua Road to Kamehameha Highway, will be closed through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for barrier and electrical work. Shoulder lanes may be closed along the Honolulu-bound on-ramp from Kamehameha Highway to Moanalua Freeway.

  • Also, the right lane and loop ramp along Aiea Access Road, from Moanalua Road to Moanalua Freeway (eastbound), will be closed from 9 a.m. Friday to 4:30 a.m. Monday for resurfacing.

  • A right single lane will be closed along Moanalua Freeway (eastbound), between McGrew Point and the loop ramp, from 9 a.m. Friday to 4:30 a.m. Monday for resurfacing.

    Beretania Street

  • Expect slow traffic from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through Friday between South Beretania Street and Alapai Street as The Gas Company works on its underground utility pipeline. It's routine maintenance, but the construction will cause delays.

    H-1 Freeway

  • One lane will be closed westbound along the H-1 Freeway on the Dillingham on-ramp through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for guardrail and shoulder lane improvements.

    Farrington Highway

    Lanes will be closed in both directions along Farrington Highway between Old Fort Weaver Road and Waipahu High School through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for roadwork.

    Kamehameha Highway

  • Lanes will be closed along Kamehameha Highway between Waiahole Valley Road and Crouching Lion Inn through Friday for resurfacing. One lane in either direction will be closed and contra-flowed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Work to resurface the eight-mile stretch of highway is expected to run until August.

    Halawa Heights Road

  • Lanes may be closed along Halawa Heights Road near Camp Smith through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for roadway resurfacing.

  • Lanes may be closed along Halawa Heights Road between Ulune Street and Fernridge Place near Camp Smith for median curb work and roadway widening.

  • The right makai bound lane of the Kahuapa'ani Overpass will be closed through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily for bridge work.

    Kunia Road

  • Lanes will be closed ewa-bound on Fort Weaver/Kunia Road between Waipahu Street and Honowai Street through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. for drainage maintenance.

  • The right Wahiawa-bound lane between the H-1 Freeway and the South Kupuna Loop will be closed. A police officer will be on site to direct traffic.

    Pu'uloa Road

  • Both shoulder lanes along Pu'uloa Road from Kamehameha Highway to Salt Lake Boulevard will be closed through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for utility work.

  • Lanes may also be closed at the intersection of Pu'uloa Road and Salt Lake Boulevard through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for utility line installation.
