Partly cloudy skies in today's forecast

Most of Hawaii should be in store for a pleasant weekend, with the chance of rain set at about 20 percent for today, tomorrow and Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

Those odds for precipitation could increase a bit toward the start of next week as a front approaches, forecasters say.

But in the meantime, we should see partly cloudy skies today and tomorrow, with Mother's Day expected to be mostly sunny.

Detailed forecasts:

  • Today, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Highs 76 to 84. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • °Tonight, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 64 to 73. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Tomorrow, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Highs 78 to 84. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Tomorrow night, mostly clear. Lows 64 to 71. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

  • Sunday, mostly sunny in the morning then becoming partly cloudy. Isolated showers. Highs 78 to 85. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Sunday night, partly cloudy. Isolated showers in the evening, then scattered showers after midnight. Lows 64 to 71. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.
