The Planet of the Drums moves into orbit with a lineup of dnb greats that includes Shy FX from London, AK1200 from Orlando, Dieselboy and MC J Messinian from Philadelphia, and Dara from New York City. Oh, baby! The 9th annual New Baby Expo is back with new products, Curious George and the Man in the Yellow Hat, keiki activity area, demonstrations and Stevanne "Dr. Toy" Auerbach. Highlights on the first day include a Baby Crawling Contest and Maternity Fashion Show. Highlights on the last day include the Ohana Daze Hawaii's Largest Baby Shower and magicians. Admission is $4.50 general and free for those 5 and younger. A coupon for $1 off admission is available online.

Say "Yes" to Jon Anderson, right, lead singer of the legendary '70s progressive rock band, who's bringing his Solo Work in Progress Tour of the Universe here for an acoustic concert. Anderson has released more than a dozen albums as a solo performer. Tickets are $29-$45.

Poppy blues-rock band Hootie and the Blowfish, below, of "Cracked Rear View" fame only wanna be playing music, so they're bringing some live sounds to rock Waikiki. The group's other albums include "Fairweather Johnson" and "Looking For Lucky." Tickets are $29, $49 and $59.

CONCERT: MAY 27

The Minneapolis-based indie rock quintet Motion City Soundtrack is on the move for its Honolulu debut. The punk revival group, which released "I Am the Movie" in 2003, followed by "Memory" in 2005, consists of Joshua Cain on guitar, Tony Thaxton on drums, Justin Pierre on vocals and guitar, Jesse Johnson on keyboards and Matthew Taylor on bass. Local alt band Linus opens. Tickets are $20 presale.

Amara Kismet Near & Middle East Dance Ensemble presents "Belly Dance & Beyond II: Jasmina & the Jansher," featuring multicultural music and dance, snake charmers, sword dancers and a dragon. Tickets are $12.50 until May 15; afterward, tickets are $15 adults, $12.50 ages 4-12 and 65 and older, and $18 at the door.

Island favorite Kalapana — below, clockwise from left, Gaylord Hoomalia, D.J. Pratt and Malani Bilyeu — does some musical reminiscing as it headlines an intimate sit-down concert titled "Memories." Grammy Award winner Randy Lorenzo also performs, along with Jon Osorio and Stephen Brown. Doors open at 6 p.m. for this all-ages show. Tickets are $20 presale and $25 at the door.

FAMILY: JUNE 11

Learn about the inner workings of the human body when the Bishop Museum celebrates the opening of "Grossology: The (Impolite) Science of the Human Body" at Family Sunday. Take a tour of the nose, play the pinball game "Gas Attack" or explore a large-scale model of human skin. The day of in-and-out fun also features activities, planetarium shows and entertainment. The exhibit will be on display from June 10 through Aug. 27. Admission for Family Sunday is $3 kama'aina and military and free for museum members and children younger than 3. Bank of Hawaii customers or employees who show a bank card or statement can receive free admission for up to two people.

Take to the sea this summer when the Waikiki Aquarium revives its Ke Kani O Ke Kai summer concert series of oceanside shows, beginning with Grammy-nominated Raiatea Helm, below right. Subsequent concerts will feature Willie K, Keahiwai, Olomana and Na Palapalai. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $18 general, $10 ages 7-12 and free for 6 and younger. Friends of Waikiki Aquarium members pay $15 general and $7 ages 7-12.
