About 3:45 a.m., an 18-year-old man was killed and four others injured when a car they were in rolled over in a single-vehicle accident on Kaukonahua Road near Waialua.

The car was traveling toward Waialua when it crashed at the "S" turn near Waialua, Emergency Medical Services spokesman Bryan Cheplic said.

Two people were thrown from the car. The 18-year-old man died, and another male was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in critical condition, Cheplic said.

In Waimanalo, a 22-year-old woman was killed and a man critically injured when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a van. The van was traveling toward Makapu'u and made a left turn when it collided with the Kailua-bound motorcycle, police said.

The woman was taken to Castle Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police said. A man in his 20s who was operating the motorcycle was taken to Queen's in critical condition, Cheplic said.

In 'Ewa Beach, a man was critically injured when his moped collided head-on with a vehicle at 91-1080 Kaimalie St. He was taken to Queen's.
