The Hawaii Bone Marrow Donor Registry at St. Francis Medical Center is holding a "Thanks Mom!" bone marrow drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Pearlridge Center Uptown.

This drive will be one of dozens taking place in more than 80 cities nationwide.

There is no better way to honor your mother for the gift of life, the National Marrow Donor Program says, than by offering that same gift to someone else.

Donors must be between 18 and 60 and in good general health.
