Aloha joins Hawaiian in offering $59 airfare

Advertiser Staff

Aloha Airlines yesterday matched a $59 interisland round-trip fare, a day after Mesa Air Group Inc. announced the discount ticket price for its Hawai'i carrier, go!

Hawaiian Airlines on Friday also matched the $59 fare.

go!, an interisland startup carrier that will begin service June 9, had previously announced one-way fares of $39.

On Friday it announced a $59 round-trip fare for travel Monday through Friday. Tickets must be purchased by May 22. This fare is applicable for travel from June 9 to Sept. 30.

Aloha's $59 fare has the same restrictions. Tickets must be purchased online.

If the special fare is not available in both directions, Hawaiian and Aloha will allow customers to buy a $29.50 one-way ticket and combine it with a regular one-way fare.

go! will operate out of the commuter terminal at Honolulu Airport. The carrier said it has signed an agreement with the state for more than 5,000 square feet of space. The commuter terminal is mauka of the interisland terminal and services smaller aircraft traveling to the Neighbor Islands, such as Pacific Wings and Island Air.
