Police Beat: Alleged death threat leads to arrest

Police arrested a 41-year-old Hawaii Kai man yesterday afternoon after he allegedly called a 42-year-old woman twice and told her he was going to kill her.

Police opened a first-degree terroristic threatening investigation and arrested the man at about 5 p.m. at his Kamehame Place home on suspicion of the offense.

Two men suspected of robbing man on motor scooter at intersection

Police yesterday arrested a 42-year-old man as a suspect in a strong-arm robbery reported by a 32-year-old man.

The man who reported the incident told police he had stopped his motor scooter at an intersection when two men approached and assaulted him. He told police the men took his possessions and ran away.

The motor scooter operator was treated for injuries at the scene,

Police later located one of the men believed to have been involved and arrested him on suspicion of second-degree robbery.
