Construction projects may slow commute

Construction projects may slow your commute on various roads, so you may want to leave a few minutes earlier to deal with traffic delays.

Utility work on Beretania

  • The Gas Company will do work on its underground pipeline Thursday and Friday, which will slow traffic on South Beretania at Alapai Street. Police will direct traffic at the site.

    Utility work in Ko 'Olina area

  • HECO contractors will be working on underground utility lines for the Ko 'Olina area from May 24 through June 23. One lane of traffic will be closed near the Farrington Highway and Ko'io Drive intersection from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. weekdays while the work is underway. No weekend or holiday work is planned.

    Farrington Highway lanes closed

  • The right lane of Farrington Highway will be closed in the Honolulu-bound direction near the Wai'anae Library through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for lighting installation.

  • Lanes will be closed in both directions along Farrington Highway between Old Fort Weaver Road and Waipahu High School through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate delays, allow for extra travel time and use caution while driving through the work and contra-flow areas.

    H-1 widening project closes stretch of freeway lane

    Pali lane closed between Waokanaka Street and the Pali Tunnels

  • Lanes will be closed along Pali Highway Kailua-bound between Waokanaka Street and the Pali Tunnels through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for pavement repairs.

    Shoulder lanes closed along Puuloa Road

  • Both shoulder lanes along Puuloa Road from Kamehameha Highway to Salt Lake Boulevard will be closed through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for utility work.

  • Lanes may be closed at the intersection of Puuloa Road and Salt Lake Boulevard through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for utility line installation.

    Lane closures along Fort Weaver Road

  • Lanes may be closed along Fort Weaver Road in the vicinity of Geiger Road through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for pavement striping.

    Aiea Access Road resurfacing work continues

  • The right south-bound lane along 'Aiea Access Road from Moanalua Road to Kamehameha Highway will be closed today through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for barrier and electrical work.

    H-1 lane closure at Dillingham on-ramp

  • One lane will be closed westbound along the H-1 Freeway on the Dillingham on-ramp through Friday, 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., for guardrail and shoulder lane improvements.

    Lane closures along Kamehameha Highway, near Waiahole

  • Lanes will be closed along Kamehameha Highway between Waiahole Valley Road and Crouching Lion Inn through Friday for resurfacing work. One lane of traffic in either direction will be closed and contra-flowed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. The work along the eight-mile stretch of highway is expected to be completed this summer.

    Lane closures continue along Halawa Heights Road

  • Lanes may be closed along Halawa Heights Road near Camp Smith through Friday, 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., for roadway resurfacing work.

  • Lanes may be closed along Halawa Heights Road between Ulune Street and Fernridge Place, in the vicinity of Camp Smith through Friday, 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., for median curb work and roadway widening.

  • The right makai bound lane of the Kahuapaani Overpass will be closed through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for bridge work.
