Man seriously injured in head-on collision

KANE'OHE — A 24-year-old man was taken to The Queen's Medical Center today with injuries suffered in a head-on collision on Kane'ohe Bay Drive near Moakaka Street.The man's injuries were serious but not believed to be life-threatening, according to City Emergency Medical Services spokesman Bryan Cheplic. Another man, 35, involved in the 11:31 a.m. collision did not require immediate medical assistance, said Cheplic.
Police said the collision involved a Jeep and pickup truck. There were no road closures.
