Pleasant weather expected today

Today promises to be very pleasant and the weekend is looking very enjoyable as well, according to the National Weather Service.

Moderate trade winds will keep things cool today and will grow a bit in intensity tomorrow as a high-pressure system builds north of the state.

What showers that do fall today will likely be limited to windward and mauka areas.

There may be moderately heavy showers at times today, but they will decrease in intensity gradually over the weekend, according to the forecast.

Following is a day-by-day breakdown:

  • Today, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs around 79. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Tonight, mostly clear with isolated showers. Lows 65 to 73. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Tomorrow, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Highs around 79. East winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Tomorrow night, mostly clear with isolated showers. Lows 65 to 73. Northeast winds around 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Sunday, mostly sunny in the morning then becoming partly cloudy. Isolated showers. Highs around 79. East winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Sunday night, mostly clear with isolated showers. Lows 65 to 73. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Monday, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Highs around 79. East winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
