Waves on north, east shores should be 4-8 feet

Advertiser Staff

There should be plenty of surf to go around this weekend, but nothing in the spectacular range, according to the National Weather Service.

A fresh north swell was due to arrive overnight and a fresh south swell is expected to show up late Sunday and continue through Tuesday.

Waves generated by the two swells will be below advisory levels.

Wave faces today along east and north shores will be in the 4- to 8-foot range.

Surf along west-facing shores should be 1 to 3 feet through today while surf of 2 to 4 feet is expected along the south shore.
