Advertiser Staff

Seasider Junior Water Polo begins next month at the Brigham Young-Hawai'i pool. Session for players ages 10 to 13 runs Mondays and Wednesdays, from June 12 to Aug. 2. Players ages 14 to 18 go Tuesdays and Thursdays, from June 13 to Aug. 3.

Cost is $100, with $50 off for each sibling. Deadline to register is June 5.

The mission of the program is to provide a healthy summer activity for kids. Program goals "are to have fun, teach the fundamentals of water polo, and to compete with other clubs."

Head coach is Aukai Ferguson, girls coach at Kahuku High and former BYUH men's coach, where he guided the program to a Top 20 ranking. The Kahuku girls have won three straight O'ahu Interscholastic Association titles. Ferguson also has coached in U.S. Olympic Development.

Janna Bills, Ida Leonardi and Keala Whitford are assistants.
