Punahou wins state baseball; state judo results

Wally Yonamine Foundation/HHSAA Baseball State Championship

At Iron Maehara Stadium, Wailuku, Maui

Championship: Punahou 4, Kamehameha 3, 9 innings

Notes: Punahou wins third consecutive state title... Punahou is 17-5. Kamehameha is 14-9.... An Interscholastic League of Honolulu team has won the the last five championships (Mid-Pacific 2002, Kamehameha 2003, Punahou 2004, 2005, 2006). Kamehameha beat Punahou three times last week to win the ILH title.

Third place: Waiakea 7, Castle 5

Fifth place: Kamehameha-Hawai'i 7, Baldwin 5

Consolation: Kailua 9, Waimea 8
