Maui Ocean Center celebrates Kama'aina Dayz and Military Appreciation Month with discounted admission for kama-'aina and military in May: $11 for adults, $5 for kids ages 3 to 12, and $9 for seniors. Kama'aina and military also get a 20 percent discount at the Maui Ocean Center Store, Seascape Ma'alaea Restaurant and Reef Cafe all month. Valid ID is required. Four Seasons Resort LAna'I at Manele Bay Kama'aina Stay & Play rates are $249 per night for a garden room or $329 for a partial ccean view room. Kama'aina rates for The Lodge at Koele are $199 per night for a garden room, $229 for a deluxe room.
Rates at The Challenge at Manele golf course and The Experience at Koele are $75 per person, per round. Replay rates are $75, and include a shared cart. Sunset magazine's "Sunset's Gardens in Paradise Getaway" is Sept. 14-17 at the Mauna Lani Resort. Kathleen Brenzel, Sunset's senior garden editor, will lead tours of the resort grounds.
