High of 82, isolated showers today

Advertiser Staff

The weather this week will pick up basically where it left off last week — with daytime highs in the low-to-mid-80s, occasional windward or mauka showers drifting leeward at times, nighttime lows hovering around 70 and winds blowing at 10 to 15 mph.

A low-pressure system north of the Islands is keeping the trade winds in check and will result in a "warm and humid convective pattern" throughout most of the week, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

The daily breakdown is as follows:

  • Today, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Highs around 82. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Tonight, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 65 to 72. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Tomorrow, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Highs around 81. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Tomorrow night, mostly clear. Lows 63 to 70. Light winds around 10 mph after midnight.

  • Wednesday, mostly sunny in the morning, then partly cloudy with isolated showers in the afternoon. Highs around 82. South winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Wednesday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 65 to 72. East winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
