  • LYNNE E. WOODS has been confirmed by the state Senate to serve another term as a member of the Small Business Regulatory Review Board. She has been a member and chairwoman of the board for the past three years. Over her career, she has been president of the Maui Chamber of Commerce; part of Coldwell Banker McCormack Real Estate; president of Deltawave Manufacturing & Sales Corp.; trustee of the Maui Quarantine Fund; board chairwoman, Big Brothers Big Sisters; and a member of the Governor's School to Work Executive Council. She was also named 2003 Small Business Association Hawai'i, State Women in Business Advocate of the Year.

  • JAY LEONARD was named general manager of the Radisson Waikiki Prince Kuhio Hotel. Previously, he orchestrated the multimillion dollar renovation of the 752-room Radisson Orlando Hotel and its conversion to a Doubletree Hotel property following the devastation of three consecutive hurricanes. Leonard also has held senior management positions with the Hilton Scottsdale Resort & Villas, Millennium Hilton, Fontainebleau Hilton Resort & Spa, and Doubletree Golf Resort, San Diego.

  • M. STEVEN GRANT has been named president of Junior Achievement of Hawai'i Inc. He has 20 years in sales, marketing and management. In Hawai'i, some 10,000 students and 300 volunteers participate in the national youth program started in 1919 as a collection of small, afterschool business clubs for students to help their transition from school to the business world.

  • Windward Mall has named SHERRIE CORONAS marketing manager. Her responsibilities will include oversight of advertising and public relations, management of merchant relations, and promotional events. She previously was director of marketing communications at Bright Light Marketing Group, has worked as marketing manager at Verizon Wireless, and was a self-employed marketing and public relations consultant. Windward Mall, anchored by Macy's and Sears, includes a 10-screen theatre, a Satellite City Hall and over 100 stores.

  • TIM CORNELL has joined Griffith Construction Consultants Inc. as senior project manager for Keola Lai, the 44-story luxury condo expected to be completed in early 2008 at South, Queen, Kawaiaha'o and Emily streets. He has more than 30 years' experience in the building industry.

    Central Pacific Bank had these announcements:

  • DIANE S.J. CHONG has been named vice president and trust services officer, overseeing IRA accounts and Qualified Plan employee communication and education. A 27-year veteran of the banking and finance industry, Chong is a past manager for the First Hawaiian Bank, trust financial management department.

  • DONNA Y. KAWANO has been hired as vice president and policy administrator, overseeing development and maintenance of the bank's loan policies and procedures. The 14-year banking veteran, specializing in commercial lending, previously was vice president and credit officer at Bank of Hawai'i.
