Construction to slow commute on Farrington Highway

Farrington Highway has several ongoing road projects that could slow commutes this week. A look at road closures and projects around O'ahu:

  • The middle lane will be closed in both directions along Farrington Highway between Hakimo Road and Kaukama Road on Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Lanes will be closed along Farrington Highway in the Honolulu-bound direction between Waipahu Intermediate and Chevron through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for concrete-barrier and shoulder work.

  • Lanes will be closed along Farrington Highway in both directions at the intersection of Old Fort Weaver Road and Farrington Highway through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for heavy equipment work.

  • Lanes will be closed along Farrington Highway in the westbound direction near Waipahu High School through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for striping work.

    Pu'uloa Road project continues

  • Both shoulder lanes along Pu'uloa Road from Kamehameha Highway to Salt Lake Boulevard will be closed through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for utility work.

    During that time, lane closures may occur in various directions along Pu'uloa Road, Salt Lake Boulevard and Pukoloa Street.

    Resurfacing work on Halawa Heights Road

  • Look for single-lane closures along Halawa Heights Road near Camp Smith, through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for resurfacing work.

    Lanes may be closed along Halawa Heights Road between Ulune Street and Fernridge Place for median curb work and roadway widening.

    Kahuapa'ani overpass closed

  • The right makai-bound lane of the Kahuapa'ani overpass will be closed through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for bridge work.

    H-1 lane closed on Dillingham on-ramp

  • One westbound lane will be closed along the H-1 Freeway on the Dillingham on-ramp through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for guardrail and shoulder-lane work.

    Lanes closed near Crouching Lion

  • Lanes will be closed along Kamehameha Highway between Waiahole Valley Road and Crouching Lion Inn through Friday for resurfacing work.

    One lane in either direction will be closed and contra-flowed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Work to resurface the eight miles of highway is expected to run until August.

    Lane closed on 'Aiea Access Road

  • The right south-bound lane along 'Aiea Access Road from Moanalua Road to Kamehameha Highway will be closed through Friday from 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for barrier and electrical work.

    Shoulder-lane work scheduled

  • Shoulder-lane closures may occur along the southeast on-ramp (Honolulu-bound) from Kamehameha Highway to the Moanalua Freeway.

    Moanalua Freeway lanes closed

  • A right-lane closure is scheduled along the Moanalua Freeway (eastbound) between McGrew Point and the loop ramp through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for resurfacing work.

    H-1 Freeway work

    The H-1 Freeway between the H-1/Moanalua Freeway merge and the Pearl City off-ramp will be closed at the following locations:

  • H-1 Freeway, Pearl City off-ramp to the Halawa interchange: the eastbound shoulder lane will be closed Wednesday and Thursday, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.

  • Pearl City off-ramp: one right westbound lane will be closed today from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
