Howie Mandel show canceled

By Wayne Harada, Advertiser entertainment writer

"An Evening With Howie Mandel," set for this Sunday at Blaisdell Concert Hall, has been canceled due to a last-minute scheduling conflict.

An official with the Laugh Factory here said that there was an emerging scheduling problem with Mandel's hit NBC television show, "Deal or No Deal." Sales, she said, were fairly good, but it was not possible to firm up a makeup date due to the game show's production schedule.

Refunds will be made at the point of purchase, which include Ticketmaster outlets. Ticket holders can also get refunds by calling (877) 750-4400, or by going to www.ticketmaster.com.

Mandel originally was to appear here May 6 but the playdate was moved to this Sunday.

It was the second cancellation of a Laugh Factory show this week. Jay Mohr's July 7 show was pulled without an explanation.
