Expect a warm, sunny day

The weather for Memorial Day weekend should be downright enjoyable, according to the National Weather Service.

The chance of rain each day between now and Monday has been set at 20 percent. Although there will likely be an isolated shower here or there, no major precipitation is expected.

A high-pressure ridge is still hovering near the islands, resulting in light southeast winds through tomorrow.

The winds will blow off-shore at night resulting in clear conditions and and on-shore during the day, bringing a few clouds and light showers, primarily over the interior areas of most islands.

The trade winds should be back by Saturday night carrying a few light showers with them.

Daily forecasts are:

  • Today, mostly sunny in the morning, then partly cloudy with isolated showers in the afternoon. Highs 76 to 83. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Tonight, mostly clear with isolated showers. Lows 66 to 71. Northeast winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Tomorrow, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Highs 76 to 83. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Tomorrow night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 66 to 71. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Sunday, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Highs 79 to 85. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Sunday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 66 to 71. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Memorial Day, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Highs 79 to 85. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
