Check status of your tax refund

Hawai'i taxpayers can now check on the status of their refunds on the Internet or by telephone under changes made by the state Department of Taxation. People can go to www.hawaii.gov/tax and click on the "Looking for your individual tax status" link. They'll have to give their Social Security number and exact refund amount requested. People also can use a touch-tone telephone to check by calling 587-4242 on O'ahu or (800) 222-3229, the tax department said.
HMSA LOOKING FOR NEW HIRES
Hawaii Medical Service Association will be accepting applications for a variety of positions at a job fair June 13 at the HMSA Center on Ke'eaumoku Street.
Job applicants should bring a resume and be prepared for an interview, the company said. HMSA, the state's largest health insurer, has openings for call-center representatives, information systems specialists and administrative and clerical workers.
