Honolulu-born actress Kelly Preston, here to promote a drug-free climate, took in the Sea Life Park lu'au Wednesday night with daughter Ella in tow.

The Tihati Productions cast members didn't recognize Preston — who is married to John Travolta — when she told them it was the best lu'au show she's ever seen and complimented the fire knife dancer as the best, too. The fiery twirler, Afatia Thompson, was told by Preston: "I should know since I'm from Hawai'i." That's when the performers realized who she was.

Preston also has been hitting her food faves — Leonard's for malasadas and Zippy's for comfort food.

"It's all about food," she told the Michael W. Perry and Larry Price radio audience at John Dominis on Saturday about her hometown visits.
