It's beach and barbecue weather for Memorial Day

It's a good day for sunshine, according to the National Weather Service.

Light to moderate trade winds, a dotting of clouds and just a few light showers in the Windward areas make it a perfect day for a Memorial Day at the beach or park. Expect highs from 79 to 85 and East winds 10 to 15 miles per hour.

The rest of the week looks the same, since a ridge of high pressure north of

Hawai'i is expected to keep the trades this way, as well as some clouds and a few showers, still in Windward and mountain parts.

Daily forecasts:

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low of 66 to 72 and northeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tomorrow and Wednesday: Mostly sunny, highs and wind in the same range as today.Tomorrow night call for a 20 percent chance of rain and isolated showers and temps ranging in the high 60s to low 70s.

Wednesday: There's a 20 percent chance of rain and isolated light showers.

Thursday: Still mostly sunny with possible light showers in the morning, and winds rom the south 10 to 15 mph.
