UH falls out of baseball polls

Advertiser Staff

The NCAA regional-bound University of Hawai'i baseball team dropped out of both major polls today.

The 43-15 Rainbows had been as high as No. 24 in the polls entering the weekend's Western Athletic Conference Tournament, where they went 3-2.

UH will play Kansas, No. 22 in the Baseball America poll, in the opening round of the regionals. The Jayhawks are not ranked by Collegiate Baseball.

Fresno State, which beat UH for the WAC title, is No. 19 in the Baseball America poll and 22nd in Collegiate Baseball.
