WEED WARRIORS — Student volunteers can help the Maui Invasive Species Committee survey and control invasive weed populations, learn scientific protocol and assist with conservation efforts. WAIKIKI BEACH HELPERS — The Waikiki Improvement Association and the Japan-America Society need volunteers for a Waikiki beach cleanup 7-9 a.m. June 10. POUHALA MARSH RESTORATION — The Hawai'i Nature Center is restoring Pouhala Marsh in Waipahu. Volunteers are needed to pull pickleweed 8:30-11:30 a.m. June 10. KANE'OHE WETLAND PROJECT — Volunteers are needed June 10 to help the Sierra Club clear a wetland of mangrove to create habitat for endangered water birds at Marine Corps Base Hawai'i. Because the base is a secured military facility, volunteers must provide name and Social Security number in advance and bring a signed waiver. Call Annette Kaohelauli'i at 235-5431.

KANAHA POND — Join Native Hawaiian Plant Society volunteers 7:3011 a.m. Thursdays at Kanaha Pond Wildlife Sanctuary, Maui, for weeding and brush cutting; work done also at Maui Ocean Land Trust wetlands. Call 572-6338.
