Kalani followed up its breakthrough season in the O'ahu Interscholastic Association's White Conference by repeating as champion, and leading the way again was junior point guard Megan Kamehiro.

The Falcons went 12-1 in league play, culminating in a 49-41 victory over 'Aiea for the title. Kamehiro was Kalani's floor leader throughout, running the offense and coming through in clutch situations.

She scored a season-high 18 points, including two free throws with 12 seconds remaining, in a key 51-48 victory over Kaimuki in a meeting of unbeatens. Later, she scored 11 points, again sinking two late free throws, as the Falcons held off Castle, 30-26.

Coaches recognized Kamehiro's value by naming her OIA White Player of the Year in a recent vote.

She is joined on the all-star first team by senior teammate Mana Camara, Kaimuki senior Ashley Moi, Waialua sophomore Kimberly Meyerowitz and 'Aiea freshman Natasha Helsham.

Kamehiro is the only repeat first-team selection.

Kalani's Darold Imanaka and 'Aiea's Mike Yen, who guided their teams to the championship game, were named Co-Coaches of the Year.
