Hoku Scientific 3rd quarter earnings up 3% from year ago

Hoku Scientific Inc., a Kapolei-based technology company, said profit in the quarter ended Sept. 30 rose to $303,000 from $293,000 in the period a year earlier.The company said revenue was $1.94 million. That compared to a revenue of $1.29 million in the similar 2005 period.
