Two local companies to report financial results today

Two of the state's largest publicly traded companies will report financial results after the close of financial markets in New York today.

Hawaiian Electric Industries Inc., the owner of the state's largest utilities and American Savings Bank, plans to release its earnings for the three months ended Sept. 30.

Hawaiian Holdings Inc., owner of Hawaiian Airlines, also will announce its third-quarter results after markets close at 11 a.m. Hawai'i time.
