Onlookers chase down purse snatcher in Waikiki

A 29-year-old Kane'ohe man was arrested in Waikiki last night after several good Samaritans chased down a purse-snatching suspect.Police said the purse was stolen from a 23-year-old woman about 9 p.m. and that onlookers chased the suspect down and detained him on Lauula Street until police arrived to arrest him on suspicion of second-degree theft.
