Hawaiian Holdings earns $7.76 million in 3rd quarter

Hawaiian Holdings Inc., the parent company of Hawaiian Airlines, said it had a profit of $7.76 million in the three months ended Sept. 30, down from $7.83 million in the same quarter a year earlier.The airline's operating revenue rose to $229.8 million, or about $5.6 million more than a year prior. The company noted it faced greater interisland competition during the quarter with the entry of go! airlines, which has offered discounted air fares.
