Film writer and director Cameron Crowe, the man behind "Jerry Maguire" and "Elizabethtown," appears in a videoconference for Academy for Creative Media students from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. today at the University of Hawai'i.

The ACM and Directors Guild of America host the direct-from-Los Angeles session, moderated by director Randal Kleiser. ACM director Chris Lee and assistant professor Joel Moffett will moderate. Members of the public may sit in on the videoconference on a space-available basis. To book a spot, call Lily Ching at 956-7736.
